Garnica employees once again collected the award for the company with the largest participation in this edition of the 7th Women's Race for Cancer Research. The race, in which 9,000 women took part this year, was organised by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), and sponsored by the Government of La Rioja and Logroño City Council. In addition, several companies in the region, including Garnica, contributed to the event.
This year we had 68 participants: a great reason to be proud because the full registration fee goes towards funding cancer research. This contribution helps the La Rioja branch of the AECC continue to contribute financially to maintain this research, which benefits all citizens. In addition, the AECC was very pleased with the number of registrations in this 2022 edition, thanking all the participants for their effort and enthusiasm in a race that continues to grow every year.
At Garnica, we are firmly committed to the physical and mental wellbeing of our entire team, and this motivates us to participate actively in the race each year. We also conduct other initiatives within the “Garnica Health” programme, through which we promote healthy lifestyle habits among the members of the company, including yoga, CrossFit and golf classes, as well as courses on nutrition, good habits and mindfulness, among others.
