Garnica has played a role in various major, disruptive works of art and architecture, with our materials used as the core creative element. Now we have brought these all together in the book entitled Garnica Art.

Plywood is an exceptional material, particularly highly valued in industries such as furniture and vehicle manufacturing, construction, the marine sector and interior design. Made from sheets of sustainable, hard-wearing and versatile wood, with incredible mechanical properties, plywood is a truly extraordinary material.

We are used to seeing wooden elements in our homes and environment, but could this material also have a place in artistic creations? The answer is a resounding yes. Festivals, museums and artists have played an important role in developing a wide range of uses for plywood. Fortunately, growing numbers of professionals are looking for materials for their projects that have a minimal environmental impact, come from renewable sources and help build a sustainable future, continuing the long history we as humans have shared with wood.

Poplar wood is light and easy to handle, but is also extremely long-lasting and hard-wearing. In addition, if it comes from Garnica, then it comes from local, sustainably-managed plantations. These are the reasons that have motivated artists and professionals to use our wood in their artistic and architectural projects.

The Garnica Art book brings to light the architectural and artistic opportunities that plywood can offer. The 20 works included in this book have featured in various national and international exhibitions, using Garnica wood as the star material and demonstrating how wood can be used in this type of art through sustainable innovation and creativity.

At Garnica, we are constantly working on developing new products, combining different types of wood with new materials, improving the already excellent properties of the wood, through new multi-sector technologies and added-value finishes.
