Garnica is supporting Ukrainian children and families through UNICEF Spain
Read the featured articleUNICEF is on the front line of the humanitarian response, providing essential services such as health care, education, protection and access to water and sanitation.
At Garnica we want to show our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and have made a corporate donation of €10,000 to UNICEF Spain in support of their response to the humanitarian emergency.
Our company wants to do its part to help the nearly 2.7 million people affected by this conflict, including more than a million children, who have already fled Ukraine to neighbouring countries.
Contributions like this are helping UNICEF to work in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to ensure access to safe water, medical care and protection services. The organisation is delivering emergency health, hygiene and education supplies, as well as providing psychosocial care to the children who are suffering through this dire situation.
In addition, among other materials, children and families are receiving medicines, first aid kits, obstetric supplies, surgical equipment, toys and baby items.
Garnica does not engage in trade relations with Russia, nor does it depend on Russia for raw materials. In our process we use poplar, pine and eucalyptus wood from sustainable European plantations located in Spain and France.
