Garnica was one of the companies supporting an event organised by the Peña Virgen de los Parrales and the Baños de Río Tobía Town Council

On 27 November in Baños de Río Tobía, a “Baños cata La Palma” wine tasting event was held in aid of those affected on the island of La Palma, led by four expert Rioja winemakers and sommeliers: Ana Mª Martín, Juan Carlos Sancha, Clemente García and Ángel Villar.

The event was organised by the Peña Virgen de los Parrales in association with Baños de Río Tobía Town Council and benefited from the participation of three wineries from La Rioja as well as five from the Canary Islands, which participated in the event via video call. The proceeds were donated to help the people affected on La Palma.

The event was attended by more than 100 people and achieved several goals: in addition to offering the opportunity to taste Canary Island wines, which were unknown to most of the attendees, and some excellent wines from La Rioja, it was an act of twinning with the island of La Palma, which is currently experiencing extremely difficult times.

Garnica, in line with our commitment and responsibility to support initiatives that promote economic and social progress in the areas where we operate and to provide support for the most urgent needs, made a donation to help those affected on the island. Our company is also closely linked to Baños de Río Tobía, where our company was founded in 1941 and where we have two production factories.
