Garnica is proud to participate in this urban festival and see its plywood panels being used to construct works of art in the community where it is rooted.

The seventh edition of Concéntrico, the International Festival of Architecture and Design, was held in Logroño with great success among critics and the general public. 50 artists from 15 countries made 18 temporary installations, 14 of which used panels provided by Garnica as their base.

The festival, organized by the La Rioja Architects' Foundation in collaboration with the Logroño City Hall and the Government of La Rioja, brought together original temporary urban installations created specifically for the occasion. The event gave special prominence to the concepts of sustainability and respect for the environment, and the public was able to enjoy the installations from September 2-5.

In 14 of these creations, the artists built their works using ‎Garnica ‎plywood panels with various finishes: Ultralight Poplar, Efficiency Poplar, and Elegance Globulus as well as pine plywood from the Laudio Deco range by Maderas de Llodio. All of the panels are lightweight, resistant and easy to work with, making them very versatile for these types of artistic creations.

This year, artist Laurent Martin used recycled Garnica panels as an example of harnessing material in disuse for his piece titled Arbre, a spectacular installation that recreated an enormous tree along the Gran Vía of Logroño, claiming more space for nature. The piece titled Soucoupe Populaire must also be highlighted. It was created by students from the École Supérieure de Design de Troyes (France) in collaboration with Garnica. The installation provides a poplar-based meeting point and place of exchange. This collaboration emerged from the fact that Garnica is building its seventh panel plant, which will soon enter into operation, in this French city.

Garnica has donated its panels in all editions of the festival as part of its commitment to promote sustainable construction and to contribute with CSR actions to create a more friendly and inhabitable environment in all areas where the company is present.
