Logroño’s Architecture and Design Festival will be held September 1–6, and as always, the creators will be using Garnica panels in their installations

The 8th edition of Concéntrico, Logroño’s International Festival of Architecture and Design, will be held from September 1 to 6 this year, two days longer than previous editions. Its competition spaces have also expanded; the regular sites at Escuelas Trevijano and Viña Lanciano schools will be joined this year by Obispo Bustamente Street and a location in Quinta do Seixo, in Portugal.

Concéntrico is a festival organized by the La Rioja Architects Cultural Foundation in collaboration with Logroño City Hall and the Government of La Rioja. Without interruption since this urban event was started and again this year, Garnica will donate over 500 panels from its sustainable plantations to participating architects and designers to make their artistic installations.

With these works of art, the festival offers attendees the opportunity to reflect on urban space from a new perspective and invites them to rediscover the city in order to enjoy the street as a supportive element of the everyday environment. Garnica is immensely proud to supply its plywood panels and help the participants find new artistic uses in them that contribute, albeit ephemerally, to creating more sustainable living spaces.

For Garnica, such initiatives are part of our commitment to contribute to the economic, social, and cultural development of the areas where we carry out our activity. In accordance with this desire to be involved in our environment, this year the Viña Lanciano installations will be in two locations: next to the Ebro River in La Rioja and in Quinta do Seixo, in the Portuguese Douro River basin. Both are the main regions where Garnica has its sustainable poplar plantations from which it obtains its wood.
