Our commitment to the environment aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 targets.

In recent years, corporate sustainability has become very important within business structure. A growing number of businesses support incorporating environmental, social, and management standards that fulfill their fundamental responsibilities in human rights, labor and environmental matters, and the fight against corruption.

On September 25, 2015, the United Nations General Assembly approved a plan of action in favor of people, the planet, and universal peace and prosperity that was outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In this agenda, private sector businesses play a very important role in aligning business goals with those of equality and sustainability.

Our company is firmly committed to sustainability, both when it comes to satisfying the consumer, offering innovative solutions with plywood based on renewable wood sources, and making a commitment to the planet to promote environmentally responsible practices and support for using these types of materials.

For this reason, Garnica has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact to strengthen our contribution to this responsible initiative and to become one of the key organizations in achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and 169 targets to be reached by 2030.

This compact offers an exclusive national and international annual training plan that will support us in reaching our goals sustainably, taking into account a number of key factors, such as good waste management, application of energy efficient measures, and good management at an environmental level to optimize resources.

At Garnica, sustainability is one of the pillars of our corporate values: "The use of raw materials and our commitment to sustainability are key for meeting our needs without compromising the needs of future generations" - Pedro Garnica, president of Garnica.
