Sandra Porras is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Garnica and leads the Finance & IT departments, reporting directly to the CEO, Álvaro González.

Sandra has over 20 years of experience as a financial executive in corporate finance, auditing, and strategic management. She began her professional career as an auditor at PwC in Seville, where she gained a solid foundation in accounting and financial reporting. After her time in auditing, she joined Abengoa Bioenergy as Vice President of Finance, leading a team of fifteen people in the corporate finance department during a period of expansion and construction of new plants in Abengoa’s industrial biofuels division.

In 2008, Sandra moved to the United States to take on the role of Deputy CFO of Abengoa Bioenergy’s division. During her tenure, she oversaw operational efficiency, financial risk management of the business group, and the entire reporting and controlling process in a division with 10 production plants and a corporate structure with companies in Europe, the United States, and Brazil, contributing to revenues of $3 billion in 2013.

In 2015, she was appointed CFO of Abengoa Bioenergy, where she led the restructuring and sale process of the business unit as part of Abengoa’s global restructuring. She negotiated financial debt and managed treasury, financial analysis, taxes, and processes, as well as overseeing the Chapter 11 process in the United States.

After collaborating with Alvarez & Marsal in Madrid as a Director in the field of corporate transformation and restructuring, she joined Terratest, a private equity-backed company, as CFO to lead the financial strategy, focusing on the company’s capital and debt structure, and has led strategic divestments in recent years.

Sandra holds a degree in Business Administration from Loyola Business School in Córdoba, completed the Senior Management Program at IE, and has an Executive MBA from Washington University in Saint Louis (United States).
