The COVID-19 pandemic is a global threat and, as such, requires global solutions that leave no country behind. For this reason, Garnica has joined COVAX Facility mechanism with UNICEF as part of its “Charity Gift” initiative for Christmas.
The COVAX Facility is focused on providing rapid, fair and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines for the most vulnerable populations. UNICEF is playing a key role in global efforts to ensure an equitable global supply of COVID-19 vaccines, spearheading what is probably the largest and fastest logistical and healthcare operation in history.
Through our contribution, more than 6,500 people in under-resourced countries will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. With this corporate social responsibility action, we join governments, scientists, civil society organisations, philanthropists and global health organisations in giving the most disadvantaged countries access to COVID-19 vaccines, because no one is safe until everyone is safe.
This collaboration is in addition to our other solidarity actions in response to the pandemic, such as the Garnica Helps initiative, through which we donate healthcare material to hospitals, health centres and homes for the elderly. In our commitment to grow in a sustainable and responsible way, we carry out different projects both within and outside our organisation that support areas such as education, health, equality and the diversity of our own team and of society.
