The COVID-19 pandemic is a global threat and as such requires global solutions that leave no one behind. Therefore, at Garnica we are joining COVAX Facility with UNICEF as part of our Christmas “Gift of Solidarity” initiative.
The COVAX Facility focuses on providing rapid, fair, and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines for the most vulnerable populations. UNICEF is playing a key role in global efforts to ensure an equitable worldwide supply of COVID-19 vaccines, directing what is probably the largest and fastest logistical and medical operation in history.
Our donation will enable more than 6,500 people in low-income countries to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. With this act of corporate social responsibility, we join governments, scientists, civil society organizations, philanthropists, and global health organizations to allow the most disadvantaged countries access to COVID-19 vaccines because no one will be safe until we are all safe.
This collaboration is one of several acts of solidarity motivated by the pandemic, such as the Garnica Helps initiative in which we donated medical equipment to hospitals, healthcare facilities, and nursing homes. In our commitment to sustainable and responsible growth, we carry out a wide range of projects inside and outside our organization that support a variety of areas, such as education, healthcare, and the equality and diversity of our team and society.
