The employee journey at Garnica, a people-centred company

At Garnica, defining our value proposition and delivering a management framework centred on people is one of the key pillars of our philosophy. We believe in and build on the true worth of the community that makes up the company and are aware that people are its key asset. They are the foundation for continuing and ensuring our future growth.
The journey begins with attracting and hiring talent and we therefore endeavour to draw and select candidates who, in addition to bringing the necessary experience, training and skills to the job they will perform or may perform in the future, are also aligned with our company values and culture based on trust, transparency and collaboration, ensuring equal treatment of opportunities and avoiding any kind of discrimination.
Once an individual is selected to fill a vacancy, we welcome them on board with a personalised welcome plan in line with their individual needs, offering different cross-cutting training programmes and production plant visits. We also provide new employees with personal protection and work equipment appropriate for the job they are to perform, along with the corporate welcome manual.
We consider the integration process for new employees to be crucial for facilitating their immersion in Garnica’s culture and make a special effort at this stage of the employee journey, as a key part of our welcome programmes.
Then, comes the orientation stage when the employee will encounter a series of plans and programmes, such as the Integrated Risk Prevention Management System, the Equality Plan and the Garnica Health scheme, an initiative with activities designed to protect the health and safety of the entire team and promote healthy lifestyle habits. They will also be informed about Garnica’s Code of Ethics, which establishes a set of principles and behavioural guidelines based on ethics, respect and collaboration.
All of this accompanies the different incentives and benefits we offer our employees via a competitive remuneration system and flexible working arrangements, allowing for a better balance between personal and professional life. We also use internal promotion plans as key factors in professional development, with a focus on Garnica Academy, a tool we have developed to launch different training initiatives that will gradually be expanded.
Garnica is a people-centred organisation. Our values serve as the compass that guides our actions. We have defined the behaviour that reflects each value through which we will regularly evaluate ourselves as individuals and as an organisation to establish our company culture in a spirit of continuous improvement.
