Garnica promotes the future of sustainable construction in the BASAJAUN Project

At Garnica, we are always looking to the future. Our constant commitment to innovation and sustainability is what essentially defines us. This passion has led us to become an active part of the exciting BASAJAUN Project, supported by the European Commission. The purpose of this project is to bring together companies, organisations and public bodies to promote wood construction that is synonymous with innovation and sustainability.
We are currently engaged in a crucial phase of the project: the construction of a demonstration building in France. Here, we have taken a major step forward, installing acoustic panels between dwellings. These panels have exceeded all our expectations, achieving better results than in the digital simulation and the acoustic tests carried out at Tecnalia. They provide tangible proof of our commitment to excellence and quality in every step we take.
In addition, we are also playing an essential role with our presence at the stand that the BASAJAUN consortium will be presenting at the WoodRise international congress, which will be held in Bordeaux from 17 to 20 October. The stand (Hall 2 - Way E - Bay 03 - Stall 0306) will be a showcase of innovation, featuring panels made with “G-Brick Eco”, a product we are currently developing, and some of the furniture items made with 30 mm Duraply panels.
Among our new line of structural products, “G-Brick Eco” stands out as an example of sustainability. Instead of conventional XPS foam, it uses wood fibre insulation. Not only does this promote sustainability by using local wood, but it also ensures a high level of comfort and reduces the environmental impact, paving the way for a circular economy.
The BASAJAUN Project has a clear mission: to maximise the value of Europe's forests, which cover 43% of the European Union's total land area. Not only does this benefit rural communities, but it also drives the digitisation of the entire value chain, from the forest to the finished building.
Join us at the WoodRise congress, where you will experience first-hand the advances and innovations that Garnica is bringing to the BASAJAUN Project. Together, we are building a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future in the wood construction industry.
