Pedro Costa has been Garnica’s CFO since 2020. He leads Finance, IT, Procurement and M&A, reporting to CEO Álvaro González.

He has over 16 years’ experience in transforming, restructuring and turning around private equity and family-owned manufacturing companies, focusing on growth, productivity excellence and shareholder return maximisation. He has worked in several industries within global and complex matrix organisations across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Prior to joining Garnica, Pedro was Group CFO of Famar Health Care Services and co-led the selling process of 11 plants. Previously, Pedro served as the Divisional CFO and Group Vice President, controlling operations at Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) for 17 sites in 11 countries; furthermore, also at kp, he held several other leading positions in finance. He started his career as an auditor at PwC Mexico.

In his role, Pedro oversees a broad range of functions and together with his team develops benchmark processes and structures, business partnership models, tech tools and high performing teams that enable all Garnica´s functional areas to drive change, boost growth, improve profitability, and deliver supply excellence to our clients.

Pedro is a graduate of Economics of Minho University, Braga, Portugal, holds a public accounting certificate from Minho University and a Six Sigma Lean certificate from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität.
