Pedro Costa has been Garnica’s CFO since 2020, leading Finance, IT, Procurement, and M&A areas, and reporting to CEO Álvaro González.

He has over 16 years of experience in transforming, restructuring and helping turn around private equity and family-owned manufacturing companies, with a focus on growth, productivity excellence and maximization of shareholder return. He has worked in several industries within global and complex organizations across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Prior to joining Garnica, Pedro was Group CFO of Famar Health Care Services where he co-led the sale of 11 plants. Prior to that, Pedro served as Divisional CFO and Group Vice President Controlling Operations in Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) at 17 sites in 11 countries. Also while at kp, he held several leading positions in the finance area. He began his career as an auditor at PwC in Mexico.

In his current role, Pedro oversees a broad range of functions and works with his team to develop benchmark processes and structures, business partnership models, technology tools and high performing teams that enable all of Garnica´s functional areas to drive change, boost growth, improve profitability, and deliver supply chain excellence to its customers.

Pedro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Minho University (Portugal), a Certificate of Public Accounting from Minho University, and a Lean Six Sigma Certificate from Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Qualitat.
