Read the featured articleCreated by visionary Anthony Hodson, Dzome combines design inspired by nature with avant-garde technology in a sustainable and flexible office pod for working from home. The structure is internally clad with Garnica Ultralight, creating a space fusing comfort, productivity and environmental awareness.
The world is constantly evolving and so too is the way we work. We have seen a huge rise in remote working, so much so that it has become our new normal, making the need for workspaces that bring together functionality, aesthetics and sustainability more pressing than ever before. Set against this backdrop is Dzome, an inspirational office pod featuring Garnica Ultralight that was featured on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces (watch the episode here), that provides a unique solution to the demands of working from home.
Revolutionary design
Dzome stands at the nexus of innovation, design excellence and functionality. The pod – originally designed to be used as a home office, but that would also work wonderfully as a music room, reading nook or yoga studio – is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the mathematical precision of the Fibonacci sequence. More than a simple workspace, Dzome is an architectural masterpiece that sets new standards for comfort, productivity and sustainability.
What really sets Dzome apart is its meticulous design, which pairs quality materials with pioneering digital manufacturing techniques. From the overlapping diamond segments providing protection from the elements to the efficient infrared underfloor heating, each and every detail of the project has been carefully considered to create an optimal space.
Garnica plywood was selected for the internal cladding in the office pod. Provided by our esteemed UK supplier Lathams, the Garnica Ultralight panels bring nature, quality and sustainability into the space, a cocoon of creativity where users can focus their minds.
Towards a sustainable future
In line with Garnica, Dzome prioritises inclusivity and sustainability. With an accessible entrance and a modular design that enables it to meet different needs, the pod seeks to be a truly inclusive space. The decision to use sustainable materials – like Garnica – paired with the limited impact on the environment are proof of Anthony Hodson’s commitment to looking after the planet.
Dzome is an outstanding example of how innovation and sustainability can come together to create impressive solutions for the world of remote working. By elevating the standard of work from home spaces, Dzome not only promises an exceptional work environment, but also sets a precedent for a sustainable future that revolves around human needs.
