Working from home just got more sustainable with Dzome
Read the featured articleAnthony Hodson is the innovative designer of Dzome, an office pod combining nature-inspired design and avant-garde technology. Intended to be a sustainable and flexible workspace for remote workers, the pod is an environmentally friendly masterpiece clad in Garnica Ultralight that brings together comfort and functionality.
As the world has evolved, the way we work has transformed. Remote working is our new normal, making the need for workspaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable more pressing than ever before. Dzome was designed against this backdrop, seeking to provide a unique solution to the demands of working from home. A brief that it meets to perfection, thanks in part to the decision to use Garnica Ultralight for the internal cladding.
Revolutionary design
Innovation, design excellence and functionality are three words that sum up Dzome. The pod is inspired by the beauty of the natural world as well as the math behind the Fibonacci sequence. This architectural masterpiece redefines what we understand by comfort, productivity, and sustainability in our work environment and beyond: while originally designed to be a home office, Dzome would also make a great yoga studio, reading nook, or gaming area.
Anthony Hodson combines meticulous design with quality materials and innovative digital manufacturing technologies to create Dzome. The overlapping diamond external cladding provides sturdy shelter from the elements and the infrared underfloor heating efficiently keeps the pod at a pleasant temperature. Extreme care and thought have gone into the details to ensure that Dzome is an optimal space.
With this in mind, Garnica was chosen for the internal wall paneling. Garnica Ultralight was provided by our esteemed UK supplier Lathams to insert nature, quality, and sustainability into the space, creating an environment where users can unleash their creativity.
A sustainable future
Just like Garnica, Dzome centers its efforts to be as inclusive and sustainable as possible. There is an accessible entrance to cater to everyone and the modular design meets a wide range of needs. The use of eco-friendly materials – like Garnica – and the pod’s limited impact on the environment show that Anthony Hodson’s commitment to the planet goes beyond words.
Dzome showcases that innovation and sustainability are an unbeatable pairing in the design of work from home solutions. By raising the bar, Dzome has not only created a lovely place to work, but has also proven that the future can be eco and meet human needs.
