Concéntrico’s International Festival of Architecture and Design was held from April 27th to May 2nd, and Garnica once again was among the participants. This event filled Logroño with art and culture with various exhibitions. Our panels have played a major role in every edition of this event since the very first one. This year’s participation saw Garnica donate about 550 panel for participating architects and designers to create their artistic exhibits.
This initiative is part of our commitment to contributing to the economic, social, and cultural development of the regions where we carry out our activities, creating more sustainable living spaces. In fact, as part of our commitment to sustainability, the panels provided are made from poplar, pine, and eucalyptus woods, species from local tree farms that nurture the environment and the development of rural areas.
Concéntrico has created more than 100 urban installations for all its events from 2015 to the present. For this new event, the festival was expanded to embrace new venues around the city, extending the areas where the exhibits could be viewed: from the Plaza sin Nombre in the Madre de Dios District to El Cubo; likewise, from north to south: from the Ebro River to the new train station park.
National and international artists have flooded the capital of La Rioja with urban exhibits throughout the city, including Camille Walala, Hollmén Reuter Sandman Architects, Os Espacialistas, Studio Ossidiana, Pool is Cool + Dallas, architecture uncomfortable workshop, Marc Morro, Paloma Cañizares, meii estudio + Clara Torregrosa, Gabriel Millán, Jennyfher Alvarado + Alvaro Gonzalez, Daniel Hambly, Frantoio sociale + Hypereden, Catalystas Collective, Vanesa Peña + Carlos Herraiz, and the Escuela Superior de Diseño de La Rioja (La Rioja School of Design).
In this way, we here at Garnica are also doing our bit to make the Riojan capital a place to meet and enjoy art.
