Students in the Structures, Construction and Design in Wood Master’s Program at the University of the Basque Country use Garnica’s panels in their capstone projects.

For a third year, Garnica has renewed its collaboration agreement with the School of Architecture at the University of the Basque Country to offer this program for the 2021-2022 academic year. In addition to other actions, Garnica will provide the university with financial support and plywood panels to be used by the students in their capstone projects in the Structures, Construction, and Design in Wood Master’s Program.

This agreement, which will be in effect over the next several years, will enable students in this master’s program at the University of the Basque Country ‎to learn about and have access to highly innovative products that can be used in structural and construction design. This will help them become familiar with production and industrial processes for a material that plays a fundamental role in the circular economy.

It is an honor for our company to collaborate with this university and support the education and development of young people’s talent, just as we do under our agreement with the University of La Rioja. These types of initiatives are part of our commitment to continue growing responsibly and sustainably, supporting the development of the communities where we are present, such as the Basque Country, where our Maderas de Llodio plant is located.
