At the Samazan factory, we continue our commitment to the environment and safety

In 2022, at the Garnica factory in Samazan in the Aquitaine region of France, we received the first VOLVO loader, which works with biodegradable lubricants. These types of lubricants, which are more environmentally friendly, decompose easily in the ground and water without any danger of contamination or toxicity for humans, animal species, and fauna in any environment. The Timber skidder at this factory also uses biodegradable oil.

Some of the advantages of this type of lubricant are its high viscosity index, the reduction of the amounts of product lost due to evaporation, the high ignition point, its high biodegradability levels, and the low or practically non-existent toxicity. Today, biodegradable lubricants are essential in all industries. As a matter of fact, one liter of oil can contaminate up to 1,000 liters of water.

Safety at Garnica

Also this past year at Garnica, we received our first loader with the integrated BLAXTAIR system, a pioneering solution for the safety of people around the machines.

The BLAXTAIR system is equipped with artificial intelligence and can distinguish people from other obstacles in real time. It activates an alarm that alerts the driver through a screen, and it even, if the alert is not seen, directly stops the machine to prevent an accident.

In the French factory, there are a total of five loaders, four of which already have the BLAXTAIR system and BIO oils. Our commitment is to ensure by early 2023 our loaders at the Samazan factory in France have this innovative safety system installed and will work with biodegradable lubricants that help to preserve the environment.
